Webinar * Engaging with Lawmakers

State Capitol BuildingTuesday, February 20
12:00 - 1:00 pm

Virtual

The 2024 legislative session begins February 12th! Many EDAM professionals have projects and priorities, along with EDAM’s shared platform, to advocate for at the legislature. However, knowing how to effectively engage with lawmakers can be difficult. Join us for an in-depth discussion on how to connect with legislators in a compelling way.

  • Government Relations Professionals Sam Richie and Shannon Mitchell will outline the nuts and bolts of communicating your message and the flow of a typical legislative meeting.

  • You’ll also hear from EDAM’s Past President, Tim Korby, about case studies from his 37 years of experience that bring to life the tools and framework that Sam and Shannon will share. These include examples of successful bonding requests, grants, and more.

  • This is perfect for anyone planning to attend EDAM’s Day at the Capitol, folks curious about what advocacy means and how it could benefit their projects and priorities, and seasoned advocates who want to continue to grow their knowledge base and share stories.
